This case discusses a business dilemma of a senior student, Osama Abdel Fattah, at the American University in Cairo, who opened a food outlet, called Tarwi’a, in March 2010. Tarwi’a was established to fill the market gap of food outlets in AUC when back then there were very limited number of restaurants on campus offering items at high prices. After seven months in operation, Osama and his two partners started to face several problems related to their cost management in which they had unstable demand, high cost, and competition. The 3 partners had dreams of growing and expanding the business, but will they be able to overcome these challenges and achieve their dream?
