Iqraaly means “read to me” in Arabic. Its creators looked at how entrenched Arab culture is in the oral versus written tradition and banked on the current need for high quality, customizable information on demand. Combined with analysis of the hours the average Egyptians spends in traffic, their findings led to the birth of Iqraaly. The idea is based on educating the consumers to benefit from hours spent in traffic and listen to customized audio content. Through mobile application, the entrepreneurs provide their audience with daily audio tracks of opinion articles as well as the latest headlines of Egyptian newspapers.
