This case study examines the strategic role that Information Technology (IT) plays in the subsidiaries of a multinational company. The subsidiaries are located in Egypt and Sweden. The case explains the differences and similarities between the two subsidiaries of the same multinational company. The main two issues of this case are: a) how IT supports business and organizational strategy and b) how business-IT strategy is aligned. Moreover, this case study discusses the importance of achieving a balanced relationship among business, information, and organizational strategy.
